An academic by profession and a writer by passion, I am an introvert who loves to spend time with her family, read books, amble in the midst of nature and take time off from daily activities in order to simply sit and ruminate about life, its mysteries, and the myriads of philosophies that tend to baffle me. Between cups of coffee and writing poetry and prose, journaling is something that appeals to me immensely.

I consider myself quiet, inconsequential and rather obscure in this turbulent and ever-changing world. For those uninformed, my pen name is Lopamudra Kalipada, the amalgamation of both the first names of mine as well as that of my father’s, who (during his lifetime) initiated the love for the English language in me. Poetry to me means my entire existence, and not a day goes by that I do not indulge in the art of poetry.
